Activity Report for Finanacial year 2010-11 Leimatak Area Scocial Transmission Organisation (LASTO) has been implementing the following program during then financial year 2010-11

1.HIV /AIDS Awareness Program:

The main pragramme for the health in being made by only AIDS problem in Manipur as wel as in Village level.So the Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO),Hmarveng village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District,Manipur has been organized HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme at L.Khengjang Village, Churachandpur Distict,Manipur. The Programme was conducted by Dr. Th. Ibohal singh, a well known Doctor, as resource person and other social workers 48 nos. of person was parcipated to this programme . They are from the various side of the local villages from Leimatak Village,Churachandpur areas.

2.Cane & Bamboo Training Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Oranisation (LASTO), Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCpur, Churachandpur District , Manipur, has been conducting a Vocational Training Programme on Can & Boboo At L. Khenjang Village, Churachandpur. It was established for the social Development for the skilled person in the field of Vocational , namely Cane & Bamboo. The Centre is developing in year by year and working to produce the products The centre give the Training of many Adolescents person (Boys & Girls) for the job opportunity as well as generated income for the financial year 2010-2011.

3.Health Camp:

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO), has bee wanted to make a Healthy and Peace Society . So the organization has bee organized a health camp at Tumjangphai Village , the Leimatak Power House hilly Area of Manipur and 45 nos. of peoples including Women and Child were examing of health and giving medicine without any cost by the health Camp. The Camp was held in then financial year 2010-2011.

4.Marketing of Agriculture Product on Village (Hill):

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO), Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR Churachandpur District Manipur has bee conducted one day marketing the agriculture Product at L. Phaikholum Centre near Power House. The organization has organized a marketing Centre for the collection of the agriculture products. In this centre many men and women have sell and buying the agriculture product should be opened permanently at he centre once in a week, so that all the farmers carry vegetable and sell them. People have did not the chance to sell their agriculture Product before. But now they could easily sell out those product from this market and they could add their income.

5.Rearing Birds,goats & Mithun :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO), Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpure District Manipur, Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR Churachandpur District Manipur has been implementing the programme for development of rearing of birds, goats and mithun etc. This programme was promoting the social economic in the village areas and the Organisation has been organized an awareness programme on "Rearing of birds, goats and mithun" at L.Khengjang village Churachandpur District Manipur . The programme wa participated by various small vendor, women workers and community leaders etc.

6.Women Distress and Wodow Camp :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized one day Women Distress and Widow camp at Kukimun village. The Programme was conducted by Thangkam Haokip as resource person. Forty (40)Women has participated to the camp.

7.Social Awareness camp :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized one day Social awareness camp at L.Khengjang Village. The programme was conducted by Henlet Haokip as a resource person and 56 nos. pf person participated to this camp . The programme was held in the year of 2010-11.

8.Spice Cultivation :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized one day spice cultivation programme at Bilijol village. The programme was conducted by L. hunkhohao Haokip,as a resource person. He was from district, agriculture office, churachandpur and 50 nos. of farmer participated to this programme.

9.Agriculature & Horticulture Development Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been implemented the agriculture and horticulture development programme at L.Khengjang village by the act of distributing som e crops seed, demonstration programme of local made bio-fertilizer and 42 Nos. of farmer participated to this programme. This programme was held in the year of 2010-2011.

10.Vocational Training Programme on Embroidery & Tailoring :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been running a Embroidery and Tailoring Training Centre at Churchandpur Distrct Manipur , the training centre gave 10 nos. of adolescents youths give the job opportunity by training centre as well as generated income for the centre . This programme was held in the year of 2010-2011.

11.Youth Leadership TRainig Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized a youth Development cum Training Programme at L. Phaikholuni village , Churachandpur District Manipur. The Programme was inaugurated by the Secretary of the LASTO. The Programme was held in the financial year of 2010-2011 for the youth and its role to be implemented in the areas. The Programme was discussed and Take opinion from the various points of view in the areas, then with the both of thanks to the participants by secretary of LASTO.

12.Seminar & Workshop :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized a seminar and wokshop programme on the financial year of 2010-2011. The programme mainly discuss about Women, child and Human Trafficking in the Rural Areas. The Women leader, Cummunity leader were giving their opinion in the around 45 nos. of people including women were participating the programme. The program was inaugurated by secretary of LASTO.

13.Vocational Training Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been running a Weaving and Knitting Training cum production Centre at L. Khengjang village, Churachandpur Distrct Manipur, the training centre gave 25 nos.of adolescents youths participated and they have gave the job opportunity by the training Centre.

14.Women Empowerment Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been implemented the programme for women specialy, the programme was held in the financial year of 2010-2011 and it was conducted by Henlet Haokip at L. khengjang village . the role of women very vast and effective overall control of the social harassment from the every section of people . Most of the programme are followed by only awareness camp and other local meeting with volunteers, village Leader, Community leaders etc.

15.Youth Awarness Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized Awareness programme for Youth. The programme was conducted by Henkholun Dongel at L. Khengjang village. This awareness programme mainly discuss the role of the Youth very vast and effective Oerall control of the society. Promote peace and communal harmony is very much required in the society, In this hilly areas, there are many community are staying in mixed from the long time back. The 82 nos. of youth participated to this programme from various side of Local Areas.

16.Handloom & Handicrafts Development Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been running a Handloom & Handicrafts Development Cum Training programme at L. Khenjang village, Churachandpur District Manipur, This training programme centre give 8 nos. of adolescents youth give the job opportunity by the training Centre as wel as generated the income for the centre. This programme was held in the financial year of 2009-2010.

17. Old Aged Welfare Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized Old Aged Welfare programme at New Kungpi Village. The programme was distributed the cloth and awards to the Old Aged person who are social minded in the past as known by the people of the village area in different lines of activities.

18.Cultural Development Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized a cultural awareness programme at L.khengjang village, churachandpur District Manipur, the programme was conducted by the President of LASTO and other resource person from the Arts and cultural Department Govt. of Manipur. The programme has been organized for to promote the tribal cultural like traditional folk song,dance and other cultural programme.

19.Adult Educational Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized a Adult Educational Programme at office of the integrated Tribal Development Organization for the financial year 2009-2010 but no so far been receive from any funding agencies, the programme was set up for the adult dropout women fro teaching read and writing.

20.Working Women & Child labour Welfare Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO) , Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized a Women & Child labour Welfare Programme at office of the LASTO for the financial year 2010-2011. The Programme was conducted by Henlet Haokip. The resource person lecture about the women and Child right and status of today society, 55 Women & Children Participated to the Programme.

Activity Report for Finanacial year 2010-11 Leimatak Area Scocial Transmission Organisation (LASTO) has been implementing the following program during then financial year 2011-12

1.Women & Child Health Care Programme :

With a view to improve the health status of rural Women & Child and to promote health Education. The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO). Khengjang Village , Henglep Sub Division, Churachandpur, Admn. office : Hmarhveng village Opposite DTO?CCPUR, Churachandpur District Manipur had conducted one day free health care Programme for women & children at Bolijol Village, Churachandpur District on 10th October ,2011 . Altogether 150 Women and 80 children attended the free health care programme. Health check-up, distribution of medicine at free of cost and distribution of L.E.C Materials relating to health and main activities of the programme.
2.Health & Sanatation :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO) has been conducting Awareness Programme on Health & Sanitation , safe drinking water are organized from time to time with an objective of creating a better health and hygiene consciousness among the general public.

3.Youth Leadership Training Programme:

The Organization organized 3 days youth Leadership training at Tumjangpahi Churachandpur District, Manipur from 19th to 21st September,2011 . the main objective of this programme is to impart knowledge on leadership development training for youths. The Programme was organized in coordination with local youth clubs and 30 participants took part in this programme.
4.Games & Sports:

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO), Khengjang Village, Henglep sub- Division, Churachandpur, Admn. Office : Hmarhveng village Opposite DTO/CCPUR,Churachandpur District, Manipur had organized annual games and sports meet at L.Khengjang bazar Churachandpur District Manipur. The sport meet was implementing 5 days long in the L.Khengjang Ground, Curachandpur. The Programme was concluded with Distribution of prize to the winner.
5.Adult Education Programme :

The Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organisation (LASTO), Khengjang Village , Henglep sub- Division, Churachandpure Admn. Office : Hmarveng Village Opposite DTO/CCPUR Churachandpur District Manipur has been organized an Adult Education Programme at Office of the LASTO, for the year 2012. The Programme was implemented by Teaching to the adult dropout women for read and write to the middle school level.

6.Agriculture & Horticulture Development Programme:

With a view to improve the income level of the poor farmers by optimizing Agriculture & Horticulture Produces through application of modern and scientific techniques, the Leimatak Area Social Transmission Organization (LASTO), L. Khengjang village, Henglep Sub-Division, Churchandpur , Admn. Office : Hmarveng village Opposite DTO/CCPUR, Churachandpur District, Manipur had conducted a weeklong training programme on Agriculture & Horticulture with the technical guidance and support from horticulture department. 56 Nos. of selected farmers has been benefitted under this programme by imparting training and distribution of high yield variety seed a along with PP chemicals and fertilizers at free of cost.
7.HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme :

A one day Awareness programe on HIV/AIDS was organized by this Organization (LASTO) at Boljol Village, churachandpur District on 10th march, 2012 Lecture, Talk, Demonstration and discussion on issue of HIV/AIDS in Manipur were main activities of the programme. Resource person from district AIDS Committee,churachandpur and reputed NGOs delivered talk during the programme 65 youth from Boljol and surrounding areas took part in the programme.

8.Vocational Training Programme on Can & Bamboo :

The organization had conducted one month training Programme on Handcrafts at L. Khengjang Village, Churachandpur District during the month of july, 2011. The main objective of this programme is to bring economics subtainability among the Rural unemployed Handicrafts Artiste through capaciting and technical help and also to bring about emproved standard of living among the rural weavers and artiste through their income, 25 selected Artesian were be benefitted by this programme. Resource persons fro Directrate of Commerce and Industries, Craft society Manipur and Industrial Association of the state were also providing their valuable services in this training Programme.

9.Disable Welfare Programme :

Under this Programme 24 physically Challenged persons from leimatak area and periphery area have been given free education . They were also Provided Text Book and stationary items at free of cost. Some of them have been mainstreamed through integrating into general education system (Admission to Government Schools).

10.Income Generation Programme :
A Piggery Farming :

In view of improving income level of the Poor Rural farmers through integral Piggery development , the organization had conducted 7 Days Training programme on piggery Development at L.Khengjang village, churachandpur district from 8th to 14th September, 2011. 45 selcted Tribal farmers took part in the programme. The training Programme was organized with the technical guidance and support from veterinary Department. After Completion of the training programme they were also distributed 5 piglets at free of cost.

B.Poultry & Duckery Farming :

The organization has conducted a two week training programme on poultry & Duckery Farming at Tumjangphai village, churachandpur District during month of November, 2011 with a view to improve the income level of rural masses and to promote the poultry in the area of operation , Varoius resource person from concerned Department Explained the process of rearing and importance of cleanliness and to prevent outbreak of diseased during the programme. 250 people from surrounding areas took part in the programme Medicines, chicks were distributed during the programme.
C.Dairy Farming :

The organization had conducted a one week training programme on dairy Farming at Bolijol village, churachnadpur District during the month of May,2011 with a view to improve the income level of the rural Farmers and to promote the Dairy Farming in the area of operation, Various resurce persons from the concerned
Departments Explained the process of Farming and importance of cleanliness and to prevent outbreak of disease during the programme. 150 people from surrounding areas took part in the programme and Medicine, Chicks were distributed during the programme.
